Nobody wants to be sick while on vacation, but sometimes it happens. For those unfortunate times it’s good to know what your options are.
I just spent the last week feeling pretty sick and it got me thinking about what would happen if I got this sick in Disney World. Luckily, I’ve only gotten sick in Disney once and it wasn’t that bad, but it’s still good to know where to go for help if it were to happen.
Disney has it laid out on their website pretty well, with maps of each park showing where the First Aid stations are. You can also find First Aid marked on the park maps in the My Disney Experience app; they are listed under Guest Services. Each park has one First Aid station, so it’s good to know the location in each park.
First Aid Park Locations
- Magic Kingdom – Between The Crystal Palace and Casey’s Corner.
- Epcot – Located in the Odyssey Center, on the side closest to the Mexico Pavilion.
- Hollywood Studios – As you are walking into the park is will be to your left.
- Animal Kingdom – Next to Creature Comforts.
- Blizzard Beach – In between Lottawatta Lodge and Beach Haus.
- Typhoon Lagoon – Next to Leaning Palms.
In addition to help while in the park, help is also available at the resorts. Guests can call from their room for in-room medical service, just touch the “Front Desk” button on the room phone. The First Aid centers are also able to store medications for guests that need to be refrigerated and can provide special containers for the disposal of hypodermic needles.
If you just need something that is sold over-the-counter then you might be able to find it in the resort hotel’s store. There is usually a section with at least a small selection of over-the-counter medicines.
If things are serious and you need offsite care, Disney lists info for the Florida Hospital Centra Care Walk-In Urgent Care Centers on their website. The Care Centers are open 8 am – midnight, Monday – Friday, and 8 am – 8 pm, Saturday and Sunday. There is complimentary transportation available, just call 407-934-2273 for more information. Of course, if it’s an emergency then dial 911 right away.
Hopefully, you won’t need this information, but if you do, I hope this helps.
