Disney’s Minnie Van Service
It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Disney World would be implementing a new transportation service called the Minnie Van service. It’s been in a test phase for a bit, but now it seems to be official.
Disney has announced that the Minnie Van service is available for guests staying at the BoardWalk Resort and the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. This service is being offered by Disney in collaboration with the Lyft rideshare service. With the Minnie Van service guests can get private transportation from their resort to anywhere on Disney property.
What if you have kids who are still in car seats, will they be able to ride in the cars? Yes, they will. Disney has provided each car with two car seats.
Other Info
- Each car can accommodate up to six passengers.
- The Minnie Van service will be available between 6:30 am and 12;30 am (subject to change).
- Available only to guests at the BoardWalk Resort and the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts (for now).
- Visit Bell Services at each of the participating resorts for more info.
Having used taxis in the past while in Disney, because I didn’t want to deal with the buses, I am a big fan of this. I think it’s smart for Disney to start offering a service like this.
No word yet on when and if this will be rolled out to all Disney Resort Hotels. I’m hoping they plan on offering this at every hotel, it will certainly cut down on wait times for the buses. Disney also did not mention a price in the article, but I keep hearing that it is $20 for each one-way ride.
What do you think about this new service?

I love this idea! We hate the busses and with an autistic child, this will be a life saver in some cases. I hope they use it at all resorts.
That was one of my thoughts too, Lana. I work with a child who has autism and when I first heard the news of the Minnie Vans I thought this would be wonderful for parents with kids who have autism. I’m really hoping they make them available at every resort.
I’d use it once when a right time crunch or expected high crowds. Will it come to Art of Animation?
I’m hoping it will be made available to all resort hotel guests soon. Right now it sounds like it’s just available for those staying at the BoardWalk, the Yacht Club, and the Beach Club.
