Some big news that Disney announced recently is that some buffets are returning to Disney World. This was revealed in an announcement that more restaurants will soon be reopening (or already have reopened).
More and more dining options are once again opening their doors in Disney World, which is great to see. Disney has shared another list of restaurants that will be reopening and also some restaurants that will be returning to all-you-care-to-enjoy (buffet) service.
Boma – Flavors of Africa (Animal Kingdom Lodge)
Good news for Boma fans, this restaurant recently reopened and it reopened with buffet service, it didn’t get changed to family style dining like so many of the other former buffet style restaurants. So guests will be able to visit the different cooking stations and decide what they are putting on their plate. The menu looks very similar to what it was before the shut down. And for those who are fans of the Zebra Domes, they’re back! Breakfast is $16 per child and $29 per adult, dinner is $27 per child and $49 per adult.
Biergarten Restaurant (EPCOT)
The buffet at Biergarten returns with lunch and dinner on August 29. Guests will once again be able to enjoy favorites like pretzel rolls, bratwurst, spatzle, schnitzel, apple strudel, and black forest rolls. And since this is a buffet style restaurant guests can go back for as many helping as they would like. The restaurant is currently serving meals family style and will do so through August 28.
The Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom)
Currently The Crystal Palace has a family style menu, but the buffet will be returning on September 12. Guests will be able to enjoy the buffet for both lunch and dinner. Buffet selections include Parker House rolls, create-your-own fresh garden salad, seared pork tenderloin, fire-roasted prime rib, braised beef short ribs, and more.
Nine Dragons Restaurant (EPCOT)
Guests can enjoy Cantonese, Mongolian, Szechuan, Hunan, and Kiangche-style dishes at this table service restaurant. Nine Dragons Restaurant is located in the China Pavilion and is currently open for dinner Tuesday-Saturday.

Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
This popular dining location reopened a while ago serving lunch and dinner, but guests were missing the breakfast option. Well, starting August 27 breakfast is back! Guests will be able to make breakfast reservations beginning August 24.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery (Animal Kingdom)
This quick service location is located in the Africa section of the park. Guests can look forward to once again grabbing food and drinks from here beginning on August 29. New entrees have been added to the menu, as well.
Menu Items Include:
- Spiced Potato Hand Pies

- Red Chili Hot Dog
Dockside Diner (Hollywood Studios)
This is a walkup quick service location in the Echo Lake area of the park and it opened today! Serving both lunch and dinner, guests can choose from a few different entry items. Shrimp Salad Roll, Chipotle Chicken Salad Roll, and Smoked Fish Dip round out the entrees, and guests can satisfy their sweet tooth with the Seaside Brownie for dessert. Kids’ meals are also available with choices of Macaroni & Cheese or PB&J Uncrustables. There’s also a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Which dining option are you most excited to see return? We’re big Boma fans, so I’m really glad that’s returning as a buffet and not family style. It’s great to see all these dining options returning to Disney World!
Thanks for reading!

Do you know if 1900 Park Fare will open anytime soon
I haven’t heard anything, but I’m hoping since they’re bringing back a few buffet restaurants we’ll see more reopen soon too. 1900 Park Fare is a good restaurant, so I hope it’s in the next round of reopening restaurants!
Hello Liz,I just returned from Disney World and did eat in Germany and the Chrystal palace. Both were very nice with the family style dining although I believe that more food is brought to your table then needed.I believe having the option of going back to the regular buffet is good news.We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next trip.Hope you and your family are doing well.
Hi Dennis!
I’m glad that you had a good time at Disney. 🙂 That’s what I’ve heard about the family style, that it’s a lot of food they bring to the table. I agree that bringing back the buffet option is good, then everyone can get as much or as little as they want. Hope you and your family are well too!
