This week’s ears in the spotlight are a fun pair to wear at night in the parks while celebrating the 50th anniversary.
There have been a few other versions of these ears released, but these are one of the newer designs. The fun part with all of the versions is that they light up, like the balloons guests can purchase in the parks.
The latest version of these ears show blue Mickey shaped balloons with the 50th anniversary logo inside a clear casing. These are meant to look like the very popular balloons from Disney World that have a Mickey shaped balloon inside a clear balloon. The real balloons light up, so to match their design these ears light up too. There is an off/on switch, so you can choose whether you want them to light up or not. Since it does light up it needs batteries and takes 6 AG13 button cell batteries, which are included.
The headband on these ears has a gold material that covers the outside. In addition, the words “Walt Disney World 50” are embroidered on one side of the headband. The inside of the headband has a non-slip velour material with plastic combs to help keep it in place.
If you have other light up balloon headbands, or other 50th anniversary ears, then this would be a good one to grab to add to the collection. These types of headbands can be a little heavier, because of the balloon ears, and the plastic combs can be uncomfortable for some. However, if you don’t find them uncomfortable then these would be a fun pair to wear during the fireworks shows.
