This week’s ears in the spotlight are a fun pair from the new Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios.
These are different from the regular ears headbands, because they are all plastic. There is no cloth on them at all, but they are really cute. These are great Toy Story fans!
On top of the headband are the ears, the eyes, and the antenna. The ears are shaped like the aliens’ ears in the Toy Story movies. They are plastic, like the rest of the headband, so they cannot be moved at all.
The eyes on top are the big feature of this headband for two reason. The first reason is that they move. So as you move your head the three eyes on the headband will move from side to side. It’s fun to play around with the ears and make the eyes move quickly side to side.
The second big feature is that the eyes and the antenna light up! So while you are walking around the parks at night you can turn the headband on and everyone will see the bright alien eyes moving back and forth as you walk. Those are two really fun features for this headband!
In order to turn the headband on, you will have to press the button on the back. The button is located behind the eyes, so it’s easy to find and easy to turn on and off.
Since the headband is plastic, the problem I have found with it is that they don’t stretch that far. Other headbands will stretch farther, so they fit adults heads easier, but the hard plastic on these does not allow for that. So if you have a bigger head, they may not be comfortable to wear, at least not for long periods.
I love this headband and think it’s a really fun one to wear in the parks, especially at night. If you are a Toy Story fan, or you have a child who is, I would definitely check these out during your next vacation.
Right now, I don’t see the alien headband on the Shop Disney Parks app or on shopDisney.com, probably because they are too new. However, you can find this headband at select locations in Hollywood Studios.
