This week’s ears in the spotlight are ones for those with an adventurous spirit.
The Elena of Avalor Ear Hat is a fun and detailed ear hat. This hat is a little heavier than other hats because of the crown that is on top, but that adds to the draw of it. Plus, it’s a bright and colorful hat that any little girl will love. My daughter is a Princess Elena of Avalor fan, so she was beyond excited to get this ear hat.
Right now this hat is available at select locations on Disney World property. As of writing this, I did not see it listed on shopDisney.com or on the Shop Disney Parks app, but that could change.
The hat is a reddish orange and has the same floral design as Princess Elena’s dress. The material feels soft and silky too. Along the bottom there are sequins that match the color of the hat, so there’s an added sparkle.
The ears on the hat are not just a plain back, like on other hats, they have some added color to them. They actually look iridescent and seem to change from purple to green, depending on the angle. It’s a nice feature on these ears!
On top of the hat is Princess Elena’s crown. The crown is pretty heavy duty for a kids ear hat, not plastic like you would think. There are lots of plastic gems on the crown in different colors. There’s a flower design that has clear gems, there are blue gems in different sizes, and one big teardrop gem in the middle that is the same color as the hat.
Also on the hat is a chin strap. The chin strap helps to keep the hat on the child’s head while they wear it. The strap is made of elastic so it stretches easily.
