This week’s ears in the spotlight are themed to the Lion King and they are really nice.
These are a new design of ears headband. They were released in the parks first and then made available on the Shop Disney Parks app and shopdisney.com. They are different from a lot of the new designs, because they do not have sequins on them anywhere.
The ears on this headband are made from a suede feeling material (not actual suede) and are soft to the touch. They are filled with a firmer material than some of the other ears, so while you can squeeze the ears, they are not as squishy.
The headband has the same suede feeling material on the outside, but has a softer material on the inside which makes them pretty comfortable to wear. Also, on one side of the band it says “Hakuna Matata,” because you can’t have a Lion King Ears Headband without that “wonderful phrase.”
The bow on this headband has a lot going on, but in a good way. There are two different fabrics used for the bow itself. One material is brown, burlap like material, and the other fabric is reversible with a design that is shown on both sides. To keep with the Lion King theme there is a charm attached to the bow that has a picture of the drawing Rafiki made of Simba.

I love these new ears, because they’re comfortable and super cute! They’re definitely perfect for a day in Animal Kingdom.
