This week’s ears in the spotlight are perfect for any fan of the ride and the movies.
This ear hat has some good detail on it and would be fun to where while on the ride. As of writing this post, the hat is available on both the Shop Disney Parks app and shopDisney.com for $17.95.
The hat itself is pretty cool and there’s no mistaking that it’s designed after the Pirates of the Caribbean. On the front of the hat is a menacing looking skull. Around the rest of the hat is a red and black design that fits with the design of the hat.
The ears on the hat are mad of plastic. It’s a thin plastic, so be careful and don’t bend them too much. There is no back to the ears either. They are just like the plastic ears you will find on the original style Mickey Mouse ears.
On top of the hat, and in between the ears, there is a plush pirate’s hat. The plush hat looks as though it is sitting on top of the skull’s head, so it looks like the skull is wearing a hat. On the front of the hat there is a skull and bones design sewn on. The hat is made of a velvety feeling material, so it is soft to the touch.
To keep the hat on guests’ heads there is an elastic band that goes around the chin. It’s not uncomfortable to wear, but if you are used to wearing the headbands it might feel a little weird.
This is a cool hat for any pirate fan! It’s a nice option for someone who doesn’t want a classic character ear hat.
