This week’s ears in the spotlight are perfect for any Pixar fan.
We all know the Pixar ball from the Pixar shorts, but it also shows up as an Easter egg in many of the Pixar films. For instance, in Monsters Inc. when Boo is showing Sully all her toys in her room one of the toys she hands him is the Pixar ball (Luxo). It’s fun to watch the movies and see where Luxo is going to show up next.
The little blue and yellow ball with the red star in the middle is represented very well in these ears. There is no mistaking what the theme is with this pair. Yellow, blue, and red sequins cover both ears on this headband and make the design of the Luxo ball. The ears are a bit bigger on this headband than most other ear headbands, but that makes them stand out more. Plus, since they are covered in sequins they have a shiny look to them.
The there is no bow on these ears, as you can see. However, the headband has some designs on it. On one side of the headband is a little plate that says Loungefly, the designers of these ears. On the other side of the headband is a stitching of the Pixar lamp that appears at the beginning of all the Pixar movies. The inside of the headband has a velour covering and the outside is covered in a faux leather, both materials are black.
These ears are available on shopDisney.com for $34.99 and they’re available in the parks at select locations. During my last trip I saw the Pixar ears at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot in various stores.
