This week’s ears in the spotlight represent one of calm boat rides in EPCOT.
The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros is a cute ride in the Mexico Pavilion in the World Showcase. It stars Panchito, José Carioca, and Donald Duck. Panchito and Jose go on an adventure looking for Donald after he disappeared. During the search, guests go through different areas that showcase different parts of Mexico and the ride takes them past other guests dining at San Angel Inn Restaurante, which is a fun part of the experience. These ears clearly capture this ride, right down to the fireworks on the ceiling near the end of the ride.
The ears are where you will see the most detail, and there’s a lot. On the front, one ear shows the Three Caballeros and the other ear has the fireworks on it. On the back, one ear has the “Saludos Amigos!” greeting and the other ear has the Aztec Pyramid with the fireworks. These ears have an extra fun feature, they glow in the dark. So even if you are walking around EPCOT at night, people will be able to see your ears.
The bow on this pair is another cool feature, because it’s detachable. So if you do not want the bow, you have the option to remove it. It also means you can change which side of the ears you want to face the front. The bow itself is rainbow striped and has a guitar centerpiece.
The headband has a simulated material on the outside and a non-slip velour material on the inside. One side of the headband has “Mexico-EPCOT World Showcase” printed on it, the other side has the Disney x Loungefly label on it.
I love these ears! The ride is one of my favorites at EPCOT and this design definitely represents the ride well. The glow-in-the-dark feature is a nice bonus with this pair too.
