This week’s ears in the spotlight are part of the Disney100 Collection and they are themed after the movie The Three Caballeros (1944), which also has a ride in EPCOT.
The Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion may not be a thrill ride, but it’s still a fun ride that stars Donald Duck, as well as Panchito, the Mexican charro rooster, and José Carioca, the Brazilian parrot. Panchito and José spend the ride looking for Donald, who ends up in a bunch of different places. It’s one of those rides that has a quick moving line, plus it’s inside so it’s a good way to escape the heat.
One look at these ears and it’s clear what the theme is. Each ear has a caballero on the front of it. One has Panchito and the other has José. In addition, there are floral designs on the front over the pink fabric. Each ear is trimmed with yellow pom pom fringe, which is a cute feature on this pair. The back of the ears have more floral designs on them, but no caballeros.
In the center of the headband is the bow and the theme is continued on the bow. A yellow fabric bow sits in between the ears and it also has a floral design on it. In the center of the bow you will find the third caballero, Donald Duck, playing the maracas.
Moving on to the headband, the outside is covered in the same pink fabric as the ears. Also on the outside is a Disney100 logo plate, showing that it is part of the collection. The inside of the ears are covered with a yellow fabric, which matches back to the yellow pom pom fringe.
These are such a colorful and happy looking pair of ears. If you’re a Donald Duck fan or you just love fun ears, these are a good pair to add to the collection.
