It’s been said many times, but that’s because it’s true. Planning a trip to Disney World can be very intimidating due to its size and the amount of things to see.
To help with planning we have added a “Planning Guides” section on the website. There are so many things that you need to think about when planning a Disney World vacation, like dining and Fastpasses. The level of planning intimidation does lessen the more times you visit, but planning is still needed.
With the dining plan came the need to book dining reservations 180 days in advance and it can be hard to get into some restaurants without the reservations, especially the character dining experiences. Then the option to book FastPasses 60 days in advance if you are staying on property and 30 days in advance if you are staying off property became an option. So, having to plan those details in advance means you will be planning the rest of your vacation as well.
The planning guides are meant to help reduce the intimidation of planning a Disney World vacation. So far, we have four guides, but we will be adding more.
- Character Dining Guide – This guide will give you a rundown of the characters available at the different character dining locations.
- FastPass Guide – With the tiered system it can be a little confusing booking FastPasses, especially if you have never done it before. This guide helps breakdown the FastPass choices for each park.
- Transportation Guide – Between the buses, monorail, and boats, there are a lot of transportation option on Disney property. The transportation options vary at each hotel, so this guide lists all the transportation options available for each hotel.
- Refurb Schedule – This is a list of all the refurbishments and closures scheduled for Disney World. It’s always good to know what will be closed or if there will be construction at your resort before you travel. That way you don’t have any unpleasant surprises.
If you are finding planning your Disney World trip to be intimidating or overwhelming, you can always get help from a vacation planner who specializes in Disney destinations.
Whether you plan on your own or use a vacation planner’s planning services, I hope you have a magical vacation!
