There are a lot of things that will be happening over the next few years in Disney World. Some of those changes will be happening at Epcot with some new attractions being added.
Disney has announced that both “Ratatouille” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” will be getting rides in Epcot. One attraction will be getting an entirely new space and the other will be replacing an old attraction that people love, so the feelings are mixed about that one.
Here is what to expect from both attractions.
Ratatouille
- Location: France Pavilion in the World Showcase
This ride will be given a brand new building behind the Eiffel Tower. Disney has said it will be similar to the ride in Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris, Ratatouille: The Adventure. It sounds like it is going to be a 4-D type ride that will have guests chased around a kitchen while being shrunk to Remy’s size. Take a look at the ride in Paris to get an idea of what it will look like.
Guardians of the Galaxy
- Location: Future World, Universe of Energy (The building that currently houses Ellen’s Energy Adventure)
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” attraction that opened at Disney California Adventure Park has proven to be very popular. Lots of people are very excited for Marvel to be getting a little more presence in the Disney World parks too. Since this new attraction will be taking over the space in Universe of Energy, that means Ellen’s Energy Adventure will be closing on August 13, 2017.
Both of these attraction a planned to be open in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th birthday celebration in 2021. We will keep you posted with any updates.
What do you think of these new attractions?

I love all new attractions in Epcot in the Near Future But! My favorite is Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. I can’t wait to ride it in the Near Future!
I’m glad in Disney world that they are not replacing tower of terror. That kinda broke my heart in Disneyland. I am happy that guardians of the galaxy is getting its own space. It deserves it. And Epcot needed more rides for draw.
