Disney has not officially announced a reopening date, because it is too soon to tell. They have, however, said that new bookings are available for beginning June 1 for Disney World and Disneyland.
Disney announced last week that the U.S. parks (this includes Aulani) would be closed until further notice. So it’s not a surprise that new reservations can only be booked with a checkin date of June 1 or beyond. Neither Disney World nor Disneyland will be accepting new bookings for the months of April and May. While it’s nice that we have a date for making new reservations, this is not necessarily a reopening date.
From Disney:
As a reminder, Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, the Disney Springs area, Downtown Disney and Aulani Resort are currently closed and a reopening date has not been identified.
It’s hopeful that the parks will be open by then, but no one can be 100% positive. If you have a trip booked for April or May you can also take advantage of the special package. Disney released a package for those that have had to cancel due to the closure and it includes free dining. Find more information here.
