It’s no secret that there is a lot of construction going on in Disney World. Disney Springs, Hollywood Studio, and Animal Kingdom are all getting some attention. So it’s always fun when new information is released.
Disney Parks Blogs has released some new details for the “Rivers of Light” show that is coming to Animal Kingdom. If the show looks anything like the drawings it will be breathtaking. The Tree of Life will play a part in the show and I love that they are including the park icon in the show.
Here is the description from Disney Parks Blog,
The show will take place on Discovery River between Discovery Island and Expedition Everest – take a close look and you can you see the Tree of Life in the background. In “Rivers of Light,” a pair of mystical hosts come to the river bearing gifts of light. During the show, the hosts set out from the shore on elaborate lantern vessels for a dramatic dance of water and light to summon animal spirits. With the storytellers as your guides, the wonders of “Rivers of Light” builds to a stunning crescendo.
“Rivers of Light” will open in Spring 2016.

I can’t wait to this is open I am going to Disney this week
Me too! It’s going to be a great show 🙂
Also any good tips for a first timer
Hi Jackson!
Pace yourself, for starters. There is so much to do in Disney and you won’t be able to see everything. If you try to pack in too much it can get to be a little crazy.
Try to have a plan for each day. The parks are big, so it’s very helpful to familiarize yourself with the layout of each park. That way you won’t end up standing around staring at a map trying to figure out what to do next.
Definitely pick up a “1st Visit” button. You can get them at any Disney hotel or park.
Are you staying on property? Have you made dining reservations?
Hope your first trip is filled with lots of pixie dust!
