It was announced earlier that a new “Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival” would be opening in Future World at Epcot. Well, yesterday (Dec. 23) it officially opened to guests!
According to Disney Parks Blog, the new experience will give guests the chance to go behind the scenes of some of the most famous animated films of today. A fun feature is that guests can wear 3D glasses and “go into” three animated shorts.
The three shorts are:
- “Get a Horse” – This short stars Mickey Mouse as well as the man himself, Walt Disney, voicing the famous mouse. It is a black-and-white short that is hand-drawn. The story follows Mickey, Minnie and their friends on a musical wagon ride, but look out for Peg-Leg Pete!
- “For The Birds” – This short shows birds sitting on a wire side-by-side when a “large dopey bird tries to join them.” The larger bird is made fun of, but the birds that made fun of him end up being embarrassed in the end.
- “La Luna” – This is a story about a boy who is taken to work by his Papa and Grandpa to show him what they do for work. Once he is shown their unusual business he has to decide if he wants to follow them.
Will you be checking out this new experience during your next visit to Epcot?
Thanks for reading!
