A while back, Disney announced that they would be adding a table service restaurant to Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios. It’s been relatively quiet with news about the restaurant, until today.
Disney has given an opening season for Roundup Rodeo BBQ. While it’s not an exact opening date, it is nice to know that the restaurant is scheduled to open in Spring 2023. The new restaurant will be a welcome addition to the area, not just for the food, but also for relief from the sun. Toy Story Land is very cute and there are so many fun details to see, but it’s lacking in shade quite a bit. So having a restaurant that’s indoors, with air conditioning, will be a very nice addition.
The idea behind the restaurant is that Andy has built a rodeo restaurant for his toys. As with the rest of the land, Roundup Rodeo BBQ very well themed with touches all around to make guests feel as if they are the size of a toy. Things to look for are a steam train supported by colored pencils, a house of cards, game boards that feature characters from the movie franchise, comic strips with Woody’s adventures on the dining room ceiling, and plenty of decorations featuring Andy’s best toys.
The food here will be served family style. So this means that the food will be served on platters that are shared by the table. These platters will have house-smoked meats, sides, and miniature sweets. If you’re a BBQ fan then this is your stop in Hollywood Studios.
