Big news out of Hollywood Studios today. Toy Story Land will be getting a table service restaurant!
Disney announced that this new restaurant will be called Roundup Rodeo BBQ. The idea of the restaurant is that Andy cut and taped three cardboard boxes together to make a rodeo in his backyard. Of course, he used some of his favorite toys, games, and play sets to help create this new addition to the land. Guests can expect to see not only western-themed decorations, but lots of other toys as well, making this a very colorful place to eat.
The restaurant sounds like it is going to be pretty cute. There will be toy and game versions of the Toy Story characters spread throughout the restaurant, so it will be fun to look around at all the details. Disney specifically mentions a toy version of Jessie that is riding on the back of a Trixie pull-toy, as well as unique toy versions of Bo Peep and her sheep. The way these characters will be shown in the restaurant makes it appear that they are all performing in the rodeo together.
I’m excited that they are going to have an indoor dining experience. The seating at Woody’s Lunch Box can fill up quickly on a busy day, so this will help to disperse the crowd. Plus, it will be nice to have somewhere to sit inside during the hotter months.
There is no word yet on when this will open or what will be on the menu. However, I have heard that the restaurant will go near the Toy Story Land sign at the entrance (to the right in the picture at the top of this page), where there are currently a bunch of trees. So expect to see more construction in Hollywood Studios soon.
Are you excited for this new dining experience?
Thanks for reading!
