More exciting news from Disney World was announced today. One of the new rides that has been under construction finally has an opening date.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open on May 27 at EPCOT. The idea of this attraction is that the people of Xandar are coming to earth and setting up an “other-world” showcase, which will be called the Wonders of Xandar. Guests will learn about their technology and culture in this pavilion, and will learn how Xandar and earth are similar. Once the tour gets near the end, guests will be called in to help the Guardians of the Galaxy save the galaxy.
The ride part of this attraction is the first ever reverse-launch done on a Disney coaster. Not only that, but it’s also one of the longest indoor roller coasters in the world! The ride vehicles also rotate 360 degrees, which will allow guests to see more of the ride. Check out the video from Disney below to see a teaser for the ride.

This looks like such a fun ride! It’s going to be a great addition to EPCOT, which has been in need of more rides for a while.
There will be previews, according to the announcement below. However, dates for previews have not been announced. We’ll keep an eye out for that announcement, hopefully it’s soon!
