While everyone is still anticipating the opening of Toy Story Land, Disney gave us more information about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s not an opening date, but more of an opening season for the addition.
It may not be a lot of information, but now we know that the Star Wars themed land will open in late fall 2019. So it sounds like it will be open in time for the busy Christmas season. It’s hard to say what month Disney is aiming for, because technically the fall season starts on September 22 and ends on December 21. So by saying “late fall” it could be November or December before the new land opens.
Of course, this all speculation right now and we probably won’t get a more definitive answer until sometime next year. However, it’s nice to have an idea of when it’s going to open. Guests who are waiting to plan their trip around the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now know they should be safe planning a trip after Christmas 2019.
While Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World will be opening in late fall 2019, Disneyland will see their addition open a little sooner. Guests traveling to Disneyland will get to experience the new land starting in Summer 2019.
Here’s the video Disney posted to announce the opening seasons.
