Picture of the Day – Magical Express

Today’s Picture of the Day involves a transportation service given by Disney World.

Disney is very good with onsite transportation at Disney World. There are buses, boats, ferries, and the monorail that will take you all over property. In their bigger resort hotels they even have multiple bus stops within the resorts. That way guests don’t have to worry about trekking all the way to the main building for the bus.

Some resorts are also within walking distance of the parks, which is nice. Guests don’t have to worry about any transportation in those cases.

Today’s picture comes from the Boardwalk Inn. It’s a picture that I snapped on our last day as we were waiting for the Magical Express to arrive to take us back to the airport. In Disney World fan circles, when you are taking your return trip to the airport we call the Magical Express the Tragical Express. It’s pretty fitting, right?

The Magical Express is located on the B-side of the terminal on the Ground Transportation Level (Level 1). It’s pretty easy to get to and if you have a travel agent they will probably give you a map so you can see where you are going. I always include one in packages for my clients. It helps to know where you are going before you get to the airport. 

This is a great service offered by Disney, because you don’t have to worry about getting to your hotel. Plus, they pick up your luggage for you. So any luggage that you checked before you boarded your plane will be picked up by Disney and delivered to your room. It’s so nice not to have to deal with baggage claim!
