Today’s Picture of the Day comes from Disney’s Boardwalk.
I love this picture from the boardwalk. Yes, I did add the text, but I think it makes a good point and that’s why it is today’s picture.
A lot of people who have never been to Disney have this misconception that it is crazy all the time with crowds, crying kids, and angry parents. Do those things happen in Disney World? Of course they do, but they can also happen at your local grocery store. Yes, I know you spend a lot more when you go to Disney than when you go to your local grocery store, but my point is that there is much more to Disney World.
Take today’s picture for instance. This picture was taken in the morning, before the Friendship boats even started running. There were not many other people on the boardwalk. It was pretty much just me and some joggers. Standing there and just looking out at the water across to the Yacht and Beach Club was peaceful and quiet.
You don’t have to wake up early to experience these quiet moments, though the pretty sky helps with the peaceful feeling. The hotel pools can be peaceful during the day, because people are at the parks. You can wonder around your resort or visit other resorts during the day. Disney even has two mini golf places and a few golf courses to choose from. If you want to see a movie or go bowling you can head to Disney Springs for the AMC Dine-In Theater or Splitsville Bowling. Going to a movie or to a bowling alley may not be quiet, but it can be relaxing. You can also just take a ride around on the monorail or on one of Disney’s boats.
Those are just some examples, but there really is plenty to do that I find peaceful and relaxing. Lots of people do resort only vacations and never set foot in the parks.
What are some of your peaceful Disney World moments?
Thanks for reading!
