Today’s Picture of the Day comes from the Magic Kingdom.
I’m sure you have seen vehicles going up and down Main Street U.S.A. while in the Magic Kingdom. There are a few different vehicles that you will see, but today’s picture is the horse-drawn car.
Guests can catch a ride on this fun vehicle at two different locations in the park. Town Square and Central Plaza in front of Cinderella Castle are the pick-up and drop-off points. These are one-way rides.
In the morning, guests might be lucky enough to see the Dapper Dans catch a ride on the horse-drawn car and sing their way down Main Street U.S.A. We saw this during our last trip and it really gives you that old-fashioned feeling. I loved it and so did everyone else!
The vehicles are all modes of transportation that were used during the turn of the 20th century. So that definitely helps with the old-fashioned feeling! Here are the vehicles you may see going up and down Main Street U.S.A.:
- Horse-Drawn Street Car
- Jitney (early car with no roof)
- Fire Engine (replica of the first fire trucks)
- Omnibus (a 2 -story, gas-powered, open-air bus)
I love these old-fashioned vehicles that you can see at the Magic Kingdom! Definitely worth checking out the next time you are there.
Have you ever ridden on the Main Street U.S.A. vehicles?
Thanks for reading!
