This week’s Snackshot takes us to the 50’s Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on Disney property. I love the food and the theme. The waiting area is set up like a family room from the 1950s, complete with old tv sets. The dining area is set up like kitchens from the 1950s with fun decorations and touches all around. There are even tv sets around the dining area that play clips from different 1950s tv shows.
The menu is full of delicious food that has fun names, including Mom’s Old-fashioned Pot Roast and Cousin Megan’s Traditional Meatloaf. The Snackshot for this week is Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken and it’s really good. In addition to the chicken, the meal comes with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes with gravy, which are both good too. The fried chicken at 50’s Prime Time Cafe is some of the best that I’ve had on property, second only to the fried chicken at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. It’s crunchy on the outside and the chicken was very juicy. Yum! The cost of the meal is $24, which is a decent price for a restaurant in Disney World.

It’s such a fun restaurant and the cast members who work there are great in their roles as playing family members. If you have never been, I definitely recommend checking it out and don’t forget to try Aunt Liz’s Golden Fried Chicken!
Have you been to the 50’s Prime Time Cafe?

Love the fried chicken, and pot roast as well. The servers are the icing on the cake. We eat there every time we go to Disney.
Me too, Arlene! The cast members are so awesome and it’s so much fun to play along.
