This week’s Snackshot comes from one of the newest lands in Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story Land opened a little over a year before Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and it has remained busy ever since. There is only one choice for food in Toy Story Land, which is Woody’s Lunch Box. This quick service location fits right in with the theme of the land. The idea of the restaurant is that Andy set it up using things he had around the house. For instance, he uses Christmas lights to light the area and pencils and straws to hold up the lights. The quick service window looks like Andy used his lunch box as the order area with this matching thermos holding it open.
Another fun feature with this restaurant is the seating. The umbrellas at the tables (all seating is outside) either look like the little umbrellas you put in drinks or like Andy made them himself with wrappers (you can see the tape on them). Plus, some of the tables are designed to look like he uses Babybel cheeses cut in half to make the chairs. There are so many cute details, so make sure to look around!
Now, on to the Snackshot. The BBQ Brisket Melt was very good, especially for a quick service location. It’s a shredded smoked brisket sandwich with pickles, barbecue sauce, melted cheddar and Monterey Jack on grilled sourdough bread. You never know what you’re going to get when you’re ordering bbq from a quick service window location, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised and would get it again. The sandwich also came with Potato Barrels (tater tots). The rest of the menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner sounds good, as well. I remember the tarts being a little sweet and heavy on the pastry crust for me, but things could have changed since I last had it.
