Today’s Snackshot brings us to a very popular place in Disney Springs. So popular that they have to use a virtual queue at times, because the line gets so long.
Gideon’s Bakehouse is located in The Landing area of Disney Springs, right around the corner from Morimoto Asia. Gideon’s has two locations, but Disney Springs is the location that gets crazy busy. The bakery opens at 10 am, but the line starts forming early. So if you are staying on Disney property and would like to be one of the first in the bakeshop, I would get the first bus to Disney Springs from your hotel. Cookies do sell out, which is why people like to get there early. Another reason to get there early is for the limited and time sensitive cookie flavors. In the morning, Gideon’s has the Coffee Cake Cookie and this is only available in the morning until it sells out. In the evening, the Dark Coffee Cake Cookie is available from sunset until it sells out, so it’s best to look at the menu ahead of time to see what is available on the day you are going to Gideon’s.
I’ll do a full review at a later date, today is about Gideon’s Coffee Cake Cookie. I’ve had this cookie a couple of times now and it’s definitely one of my favorites. It’s not a hard cookie, so if you prefer a crisp cookie these are not for you. The middle of the cookie is very soft, it’s not chewy or crunchy. These cookies are almost a half a pound, so they are definitely good for sharing. The Coffee Cake Cookie is a vanilla bean cookie filled with cinnamon strudel and it’s topped with Gideon’s homemade double baked butter crumbs. Yum!
As I said above, I this is the second time I’ve had this cookie. Each time we tried several different flavors of cookies, some were good, some were a miss, but it depends on people’s preferences and tastes. I don’t think I’d say these are the best cookies I’ve ever had, but they are good. Keep in mind, with Gideon’s it’s not just a bakery, there’s a theme and experience that goes along with it. Those experiences include the decorations inside the shop, monthly cookie flavors, and things like trading cards with characters on them. Those trading cards come in the box of cookies and each character has a story. Gideon’s did a great job with their theme and it’s definitely keeping the interest of those who visit Disney Springs.
Hope you enjoyed today’s Snackshot! Have you been to Gideon’s Bakehouse? What’s your favorite cookie flavor?
Thanks for reading!

I have been to Gideons one time it was delicious the past 2 times I have tried I couldn’t get in I’m going back in May i hope to get some awesome cookies.
We lucked out last month when we went on a Thursday before the store opened. We got there about 20 minutes before opening and there was already a line, but it moved quickly when the store opened. It’s crazy how long those lines get! Which cookies did you try?
