This week’s Snackshot is one of my favorite drinks to get at the Polynesian Village Resort.
The Lapu Lapu is served in a fresh pineapple, which is why I am counting it as a snack. The juices from the fresh pineapple mix really well with the rest of the drink and make it an enjoyable refreshment. It may feel a little awkward to drink out of, due to the size, but it’s a fun drink to order on vacation.
According to Disney’s website, the ingredients are as follows: Plantation Original Dark Rum and tropical fruit juices, topped with Gosling’s 151 Rum. It’s a pretty easy drink to replicate at home, since there aren’t a lot of ingredients. We’ve made them at home, and while the presentation may not be as nice as Disney’s, the taste is the same. So when we’re missing the Poly this is one of the fun drink/food items we like to make.
I hope you enjoyed this week’s Snackshot! Have you ever had the Lapu Lapu at the Polynesian Village Resort?
Thanks for reading!
