Exciting news was announced today regarding the Space 220 restaurant that had been announced a while ago, but until today there was very little information about an opening date. While we may not have an exact date, it was definitely narrowed down in today’s announcement.
Space 220 will be opening in mid-September, so there’s a good chance that by this time next month it will be open. This restaurant looks pretty cool, because of how immersive it is. Guests will enter a “Space Elevator” and make their way up to the restaurant, which is supposed to be 220 miles above Earth (hence the name) to Centauri Space Station. The fun feature about the elevator is that guests can look down and see EPCOT get smaller and looking up guests will see the space station getting closer.
While dining, guests will be treated to a panoramic view of Earth, as well as some work and leisure activities taking place outside the space station’s windows. Speaking of dining there will be a two-course prix fixe menu for lunch and a three-course prix fixe menu for dinner. Guests will also find unique and fun beverages that go with the atmosphere of the restaurant.
Check out a video a Disney Imagineer shared. The restaurant looks amazing!

Space 220 is located next to Mission Space in EPCOT. Reservations are not yet available, but hopefully Disney will release those soon once they have an exact opening date. Are you excited for this new dining experience in EPCOT?
