Disney has released quite a bit of information regarding the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser. This post will cover when the experience is going to open and sample pricing details.
First things first, Disney has announced that this experience will open in spring 2022. So we don’t have an exact date, but we know it will be open by next summer, which means we have less than a year until it opens!
Keep in mind this is an immersive experience, not a hotel stay. So because of this, Disney is limiting guests to two night stays in one of three cabin choices: Standard Cabin, Galaxy Class Suite, and Grand Captain Suite. The prices that Disney shared are sample prices for Standard Cabin stays, so the prices for the other cabin types are sure to cost more.
Sample Pricing from Disney for Standard Cabins:
- 2 Guests Per Cabin: $1,209 per guest per night ($4,809 for the total stay)
- 3 Guests (2 Adults/1 Child) Per Cabin: $889 per guest per night ($5,200 for the total stay)
- 4 Guests (3 Adults/1 Child) Per Cabin: $749 per guest per night ($5,999 for the total stay)
*The sample pricing above is for most weeknights 8/20/2022 to 9/17/2022
Since this is sample pricing, your price will probably differ depending on which dates you choose, your cabin type, and how many people are in your party. The above prices at least give an idea of what people can expect to pay for this experience.
Cabin Descriptions
- Standard Cabin – Each cabin sleeps 4-5 guests with a queen bed, bunk beds, and a wall pull-down bed for an adult (if there is a fifth person). There’s also a pull-out table and a window with a view into space. Amenities in the room are the same as the hotels in Disney World: mini refrigerator, hair dryer, in-cabin safe, phone with voicemail messaging, interactive TV, and H2O Plus products.
- Galaxy Class Suite – This option includes a one-bedroom suite, a living space with a seating area, a double vanity bathroom, bar area, 2 windows with views into space, and some Star Wars surprises. The suite sleeps up to 4 guests with a queen bed and 2 wall pull-down beds for adults. Amenities in the room are the same as the hotels in Disney World: mini refrigerator, hair dryer, in-cabin safe, phone with voicemail messaging, interactive TV, and H2O Plus products.
- Grand Captain Suite – This option sleeps up to 8 guests and includes two bedrooms and a bigger living space with a seating area. There’s a double vanity bathroom, a second bathroom with a single vanity, a bar area, 3 windows with views into space, and some Star Wars surprises. Amenities in the room are the same as the hotels in Disney World: mini refrigerator, hair dryer, in-cabin safe, phone with voicemail messaging, interactive TV, and H2O Plus products.
How excited are you for this new experience? I know it’s pricy, but it looks like a lot of fun. I’ll post more info about sample itineraries Disney shared, as well as different activities that will be available.
Thanks for reading!

Little too pricey for us. Thanks but no thanks. With that price point, short time, and restrictiveness, I wonder how successful this will be long term. There will be the initial “newness” of it, but after that….. How many rich people will do this more than once too?
I’m wondering that too. This seems like something more for adults than for families with kids, so it might be okay if people split the room with friends. I don’t think we’ll ever do it either, I’d rather spend the money on one of the hotels and stay a week or so rather than two nights.
