Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Opening Dates Announced

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is already open in Disneyland and it will be opening soon in Disney World. However, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance wasn’t open yet for the Disneyland opening and it won’t be open for the Disney World opening. So the questions is, when will this ride be open? Well, Disney has answered that question.

Starting December 5 guests visiting Hollywood Studios in Disney World will be able to experience this ride. Guests in Disneyland will have their opening just over a month later on January 17. So if you want to be one of the first to experience the new ride then I would start planning your trip to Disney World!

There is an extra special meaning to the opening date in Disney World. December 5 is Walt Disney’s birthday, so Disney felt this was a good way to “honor the ultimate storyteller by introducing the most immersive and advanced attraction ever imagined in a Disney Park.” That’s quite a talk-up from Disney, so let’s hope this ride lives up to that. It does sound like it’s going to be a fun ride as it puts guests in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

Here is Disney’s description:

Guests will be recruited to join Rey and General Organa at a secret base. Along the way, they will be captured by a First Order Star Destroyer. With the help of some heroes of the Resistance, they break out and must escape the Star Destroyer, protect the secret base, and stay one step ahead of Kylo Ren.
