Something that guests have been wanting for a while is happening soon. Dining with a Disney villain, specifically The Queen from Snow White!
Guests can already see Lady Tremaine from Cinderella at dinner at 1900 Park Fare (The Grand Floridian) and she is hysterical to talk to. So, having another Disney villain available to meet at a character dining meal is sure to be popular.
This new character dining experience will be coming to Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge this winter. In addition to The Queen, guests will get to meet Snow White, Dopey, and Grumpy. There will also be music and activities aimed to bring the Snow White fairytale to life.
The meal itself will be a themed prix fixe menu. So it’s not a buffet, but guests will have some choices. The meal will start with shared appetizers, then guests can choose from a list of entrees, and the meal finishes with “sweet spells.”
A start date has not been released, but we will keep a look out for the announcement. All Disney has said so far is that it will open in the winter, which is a pretty big range. We also don’t know if this is going to be for a specific meal time or if it is going to be available all day. Hopefully, Disney will be releasing more information soon.
Some guests who love Artist Point have raised concerns over Disney using this location. People consider this dining location a “hidden gem,” so they are afraid that the character dining experience will ruin the atmosphere at the restaurant. The reaction has seemed pretty split to me between those that are excited and those that are upset at the location choice.
Are you excited for this new character dining experience or are you bummed about their location choice for it?
Thanks for reading!

My daughter is excited at the chance to meet some of the 7 dwarves. They really should have a featured place for the around the mine train ride. She loves character meals and this will be a new place to try when we go at the end of April.
I enjoy reading your information about Walt Disney World. Thank you for being so informed.
Aw, this makes me rather sad. Artist Point was always in my top five for Signature Dining. I do see the appeal for families though, so I hope to try this out with mine down the road, but will still miss the original Artist Point. We’re in a new era for Disney, change is hard!
I think Artist Point is an upper scale restaurant that has a romantic atmosphere. I think a character meal there it’s going to take away from this.
I can’t wait for the Snow White dinner and greet
The family is excited
