Le Cellier Steakhouse Features ‘Disney Family of Wines’
Everyone raves about the steaks at Le Cellier Steakhouse, but now people might be talking about the wine. The restaurant has the ‘Disney Family of Wines’ on their menu.
Le Cellier features six of the eight wines from the ‘Disney Family of Wines.” Once Skywalker Vineyards and Gogi send their wines, Le Cellier will be the first Disney World restaurant to feature all eight. Several Reserve vintages are included on the list.
Disney has, of course, educated the staff of Le Cellier on the wines and winemakers. So, they will be able to answer your questions about the wines and/or vineyards.
From Pam Brandon, Disney Parks Food Writer, on Disney Parks Blog:
The diverse collection has a personal connection to the Disney name: an artistic talent, a sense of what makes for good storytelling, quintessential family DNA … all of the wineries display qualities long identified with Walt Disney and The Walt Disney Company, carrying on the Disney legacy and typifying the passion, innovation and quality that the name Disney symbolizes.
Here is a list of the wineries:
- Fess Parker Winery
- MacMurray Ranch
- Silverado Vineyards
- Lasseter Family Winery
- Gogi
- Frank Family Vineyards
- Chappellet Winery
- Skywalker Vineyards
On your next trip to Le Cellier try one of the ‘Disney Family of Wines.’ I’m excited to see the selection during our next trip!

Cooking the Disney Way: Pollo a las Rajas
It has been a while since I have made one of the recipes from our Disney cookbook. So, I thought it was time to crack open the cookbook again. My husband and I both looked it over and we agreed on the Pollo a las Rajas from San Angel Inn Restaurante in the Mexico pavilion in Epcot.
On our next trip we are staying at the Boardwalk Villas, so we will be within walking distance of Epcot and all the wonderful dining experiences in the World Showcase. Cooking this recipe gave us a sample of what San Angel Inn Restaurante has on their menu and we we not disappointed.
For legal reasons, I cannot actually post the recipe (it being copyrighted material and all), but I can give you a review of the recipe. If it sounds good to you then you can always look for the book the next time you are in Disney. I’m not sure if you can order it directly from Disney, but it cannot hurt to call and ask. I found a Guest Services number on disneystore.com, 1-800-328-0368. The name of the cookbook is ‘Cooking with Mickey and the Disney Chefs’ by Pam Brandon and I purchased it from the gift shop at Animal Kingdom Lodge.
The copyright info from the book. I know some people do not pay attention to this, but I do not want to be on the receiving end of Disney’s legal team.
The front cover of the book, in case you would like to buy it.
Now for the recipe review. We loved it! Well, my husband and I did. Our kids are still young and sometimes it is hard to get them to try something that “looks different.” All in good time. If you like Mexican food then you will love this. It is a nice step away from the usually burritos and quesadillas. The vegetables are in a type of cream sauce, but there is a little kick to it, so it is a perfect topper for the chicken.
Cooking up the veggies!
The chicken topped with the mixture.
All of the flavors worked so well together with this recipe. So, again, if you are a fan of Mexican food chances are you will love this dish. We have decided to put San Angel Inn on the list of restaurants to try next time. I have heard good things, so we are excited to try more dishes from this restaurant.
I have tried quite a few recipes from this book and we have yet to come across a bad one. There may be some that not everyone likes, but there is always at least one person who will enjoy it. For example, for his birthday I made my husband the Coconut Curried Chicken Stew from Boma–Flavors of Africa. He loved it, but I am not that big on curry. I told him the soup was all his and I don’t think he was disappointed about that. That’s why I recommend this book. There is something for everyone. Plus, it’s fun to cook the Disney recipes and add a little Disney to your meal! Happy cooking!

Lunch in Germany: Biergarten Restaurant
The last time we ate at Biergarten was 2011 and I’m hoping we can make reservations here for the next trip. It was a lot of fun and we had some really good food! You can make reservations and see more pictures and info on Disney’s website for Biergarten Restaurant. So, first we made our way to Germany.
When we arrived at the restaurant it was like any other restaurant at Disney, we gave our name to the cast member at the podium and waited a few minutes for a table. A cast member then guided us to our table. The way Biergarten is set up is for it to be family style dining. This means you might be sitting at one of their long tables and sharing it with other families. We didn’t mind this, because the other people that were at our table were very friendly and it made for a really fun lunch!
Once we were seated, a cast member came over to explain the buffet lay out and take our drink orders. We took a minute to look around before we got up to get food. The restaurant is really impressive and it’s fun to look around the huge dining room and look at all the little details.
We loved all the food here and my husband was very happy with the beer flight that he ordered. We would both like to try this restaurant again and will probably make reservations there during our next trip. If you are looking for a fun dining experience with some good food and drinks, I highly recommend Biergarten Restaurant!
