It’s time for another Tuesday’s Tip from a Dream Makers Travel Agency vacation planner! This week Beth is giving us her thoughts on Biergarten in the Germany Pavilion at Epcot.
Beth has been visiting Disney World since 1981 and, like all of us at Dream Makers Travel Agency, is a huge Disney fan. She loves planning and counting down to Disney trips, so becoming a travel agent that specializes in Disney vacations just made sense! One of her favorite memories is when her husband proposed to her in Disney World. Magical memories are the best! So, without further ado, here is Beth’s tip for the week!
The Biergarten Restaurant
When you are strolling through Germany in Epcot’s World Showcase you will find the Biergarten. The Biergarten Restaurant celebrates Oktobertfest year round.
The outside of the restaurant is quite plain and you many not think much of it at all. However, when you walk inside you are immediately immersed in the sounds of traditional oompah music. The theming and decorations give guests the feeling of being in the middle of a Bavarian Village. There is a lot to see in the restaurant, so make sure to check out the decorations. There are beautiful flowers, trees and a full-sized functioning water wheel. The ambiance is just splendid right down to the night time details like and moon and lamps lighting the table.
Tables are placed around a tiered semi-circle in the middle of what feels like an outside garden terrace. I frequently travel to Disney alone and love the communal seating at the Biergarten. I always have someone to talk to and to laugh with. The Biergarten is also great when you have a big family. We are going as a family this December and I have already secured a reservation for the Candle Light Processional dining package.
The food is authentic German fare served buffet style. It’s all so scrumptious! There is plenty for everyone to choose from, including a section at the buffet for kids. Even if you have someone in your party that isn’t a huge fan of German food they should be able to find something at the buffet to their liking.

One reason, I think this is such a fun experience is at the center of the village is a stage where costumed musicians perform traditional Oktoberfest entertainment. The music makes the Biergarten come alive and guests are more than welcome to get up and join the fun on the dance floor. My husband is a musician and always says you know you are doing a great job if the children are having a good time. Well, I am here to tell you, the dance floor is usually crowded with children dancing, singing and laughing.
If you are thinking of a trip to Epcot, I would highly recommend this delicious, beautiful and fun restaurant!
Thanks Beth! It’s been a few years since I have been to the Biergarten, but we had a lot of fun the last time we were there. It’s definitely a fun environment and the food is good too!
