Amid all the craziness with the park closures there is news out of Epcot. Two long running shows have announced that today will be their final day of performances.
British Revolution and Matsuriza have both announced through social media that today is their last day at Epcot. The news comes as a shock to many fans who have stopped to watch these performers over the years. Each act had multiple performances throughout the day and stopping to watch the performance was always a nice addition to exploring the World Showcase.
British Revolution
British Revolution is a 4-piece band that plays everything from psychedelic to punk, playing tributes to different British rock bands. Today they have multiple performances, so if you are in Disney today head to the UK Pavilion to catch one of these performances: 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m.
On their social media post they mentioned having played over 11,000 shows, so it is safe to say that they will be missed by many.
Matsuriza
Matsuriza will also be performing their last shows today. You can find them performing an ancient form of Japanese drumming called Taiko. If you are close to the Japan pavilion today make sure to stop by to see them one last time, showtimes are: 12:20 p.m., 1:05 p.m., 2 p.m., 3:20 p.m., 4:10 p.m., 5:15 p.m., and 6:15 p.m. They are really impressive to watch and they were one of the acts I always stopped to watch.
According to their social media post, they have been performing at Epcot for 25 years. So they too will be missed by many fans.
It’s no surprise that many fans are commenting on their shock of these two departures. With the amount of time each act performed at Epcot they have each built up a following of fans that love to make these acts part of their day at Epcot. As of now, Disney has not mentioned any new acts coming to Epcot, but I’ll update if Disney announces anything.
Are you sad to see these acts leave Epcot?
Thanks for reading!
