Disney released vacation packages today, which include room and tickets. Most things seem to have returned to normal with new package bookings, but there is one feature that is still unavailable at this time.
Guests cannot book dining plans with their 2021 packages. There is a chance that could change as we get closer to the end of the year and into 2021, but for now that option remains unavailable.
Something else to keep in mind is the fact that not all hotels are available for booking. Disney has said that “Given the current situation, there are some resort hotels and other areas such as our water parks, that are not, as of this time, being scheduled for reopening.” So the hotels that are not currently on the list, could become available at a later date. Noticeably missing from the list are the All-Star Resorts, the Port Orleans Resorts, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (only the DVC rooms are listed).

Guests will be able to check park availability for their vacation dates before they book. A window will pop up after you choose your tickets and will give you the chance to look at the calendar to see which parks are open for reservations. It is recommended that once the package is booked guests immediately reserve their park passes.
Speaking of tickets, something that is returning for 2021 is the ability to add the Park Hopper, Park Hopper Plus, and the Water Park and Sports Options onto your tickets. Seeing this as an option for 2021 gives hope that park hopping is returning and that the water parks will be open at some point.
Also, just as a reminder, the complimentary MagicBand program will be ending beginning January 1, 2021. However, guests with a Walt Disney World Resort hotel package will receive a discount when purchasing MagicBand. Disney has mentioned that more colors and character designs are on the way.
These packages are good for arrivals beginning January 1, 2021 and the end date must be on or before September 27, 2021. In addition, normal terms and conditions for final payments, cancellations, and change fees will apply for the 2021 vacation packages.

Hi Liz, love your app! Thank you for daily updates! Help me understand how tickets in 2021 can have park hopping if you need a reservation for one park only. We have a trip booked for January with park hopping tickets but we purchased them back in November of 2019. We had two other trips booked that we pushed out because of the situation. We assumed the ph option would not be available as we had to reserve our parks and were told there’s no hopping to another. Thank you
Hi Debra!
Thank you for you kind words about the app! The only explanation I can think of is Disney is expecting to allow park hopping by then. I have clients traveling in November and was told to keep the Park Hopping option on their tickets in case that is made available again. So while nothing is definite right now, I think Disney is hopeful to have that option available again by the beginning of 2021. I wish I had more of a concrete answer for you though! I would hold on the the Park Hoppers though, hopefully that will return by the time you are going to Disney. Keeping my fingers crossed!
