Starting today guests will have a fourth option when choosing one of Disney’s dining plans. Before today there were three options: Quick Service Dining Plan, Disney Dining Plan, and Deluxe Dining Plan.
The new plan will fit in between the mid-level Disney Dining Plan and the Deluxe Dining Plan. It’s called the Disney Dining Plan Plus and will give guests two meals and two snacks per day. A refillable mug is included with the dining plans too. The two meals that are included can be used at table service restaurants, quick service locations, character dining experiences, or any combination. It’s like the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, but instead of three meals for each night of the stay guests get two.
This plan is good for those that would like more flexibility, but don’t want three meals a day. Three full meals can be a lot and can also take a lot of time away from time in the parks, which is why the mid-level Disney Dining Plan is the most popular plan. However, given the flexibility with the new dining plan I’m sure the new plan will be a popular pick too.
Keep in mind that the meal credits are per night of your stay, not per day. It’s easy to keep track of how many credits you have left, because you can check the credits on the My Disney Experience app on your phone.
The Disney Dining Plans can be added to a Disney vacation package or room only reservation. Contact Disney or your vacation planner to see what the cost would be to add it to your reservation.
Are you more likely to add the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation with this new option?
