Yesterday I posted the picture above and asked for guesses as to where the checkout area might be located. Quite a few people were able to pinpoint where it is!
The picture was taken inside Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus at Magic Kingdom. Congratulations to everyone who got it right!
This is a pretty big souvenir store, so there is quite a bit to choose from. It’s design and theme fit in perfectly with the area where it is located. The building is shaped like a circus tent (hence the name) and the theme continues as you enter the store.
Inside you will feel as though you are inside a circus tent with the striped walls, the lights, and pole in the middle where it appears the tent is gathered in the middle. Also in the middle is where you will find the snack area. There are lots of great treats here like candy apples, chocolate covered fruits (love the chocolate covered pineapples!), rice crispy treats, cookies, and more. I always leave the store with something from this treat area, because everything looks so good!
For those that like the penny press machines, there is a machine in this store. Like the other machines there are four designs to choose from. Last time I was there it was a machine with a handle to turn for the penny, but Disney has been adding more machines with buttons instead of the handle, so it could have changed by now.
Circling the treat area are lots of merchandise displays. The displays also fit in with the theme of this store. The merchandise selection is pretty big, so give yourself time to look around.

The checkout area in the picture above is designed after the cages from the movie Dumbo. In the movie the circus paraded down Main Street to the circus tent and the animals were brought in cages that look like the checkout areas.
This is a pretty fun store to visit. You can easily spend some time in here looking around, which is especially helpful during the very hot summer days in Florida. Plus, sometimes the Cast Members have fun games for the kids. One time a Cast Member had a bean bag toss game out on the floor and my daughter had a fun time playing with it.
