Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. We always get good guesses, but 15 people were able to pinpoint where this fountain is located.
Congratulations to everyone who knew the fountain is located at Port Orleans – Riverside. Specifically the fountain is located in front of one of the mansion buildings in the Magnolia Bend section of the resort. The building behind the fountain is one of the buildings with the Royal Rooms that guests can book. These rooms have a little extra magic to them, because there are many touches from the princesses all over the room, including a magic lamp faucet and fiber optic fireworks on the headboards.
The other section at this resort is called Alligator Bayou. This area has rooms with a pulldown fifth sleeper bed and wooded views. No matter which building you stay in you will have a beautiful walk to the room. This is one of my favorite resorts to walk around because of the landscaping. It’s relaxing to take a stroll and take in your surroundings.
Other things to do at Riverside:
- Rent Bikes
- Rent Surrey Bikes
- Fishing
- Campfires
- Movies Under the Stars
- Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides
- Main Pool (Ol’ Man Island) and 5 Leisure Pools
- Boat Transportation to Disney Springs
- Yehaa Bob Jackson at River Roost Lounge – This is such a fun show. Highly recommend!
- Table Service and Quick Service Dining Options
So, there’s plenty to do at Port Orleans – Riverside. Even if you don’t stay there, it’s definitely worth a visit. I especially recommend seeing a show with Yehaa Bob Jackson. He’s a lot of fun and gets the audience involved in his shows. Plus, staying at Riverside gives you close proximity to Port Orleans French Quarter, so you can walk over there and get some of those delicious beignets.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the fountain and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon. Have you visited Port Orleans – Riverside?
Thanks for reading!

We have 2 old refillable mugs from there with Brer Rabbit, Brer Bear, and Brer Fox from when it was still called Dixie Landing
What great souvenirs to have! I love old souvenirs like that, it’s fun having reminders of days of Disney past. 🙂
