Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some great guesses, but six people knew where to find this decoration.
Congratulations to Michael Jr. and Matthew, Abbie, Melanie, Craig, Cassandra, and Lucie, who all knew the decoration can be found on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Specifically, you can find this decoration as you are waiting in line. As with all Disney queue lines, this ride’s queue line is decorated to fit the theme of the ride, so there fun little things to see as you wait.
Right before guests enter the area where they wait to board the ride, they are lead into a room with a movie screen. This room is where the cartoon short “Perfect Picnic” plays. In the cartoon Mickey and Minnie see Goofy in a train and of course things don’t go as planned with Goofy. Suddenly a hole appears on the screen and guests can venture through this to get on the ride. This is a really cool feature of this attraction. It’s always fun to see people’s reaction when this happens. Even if you know it’s going to happen, it’s not the same as when you see it in person.
Once guests board their vehicle, they start the ride with Goofy leading the train to the picnic with Minnie and Mickey. Once again, in true Goofy fashion, things go awry and he detaches all the cars from the engine. Guests are then lead through different scenes where there is a lot to see in each area. It’s hard to really take it all in, since there is so much going on, so chances are you will notice something new each time you ride this.
Scenes on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway:
- Western Scene
- Carnival Scene
- Tornado
- Waterfall/Volcano Scene
- Underwater Scene
- A Busy City Street
- Dance Class
- A Factory Visit
- The Finale Scene
After exiting the ride guests are lead into a room that looks like the room where the short “Perfect Picnic” played before the ride. Guests exit through a hole that looks like the one that appeared in the screen at the end of the short, but it says “The End.” It’s a really cute detail that Disney thought of for this ride.
Congratulations to everyone who knew where to find the decoration and thanks to everyone who played along! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up soon.
Which scene is your favorite on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway?
