A couple of days ago I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where the decoration is located. There were some great guesses and even though this one proved to be a little tougher to pin point there were a couple of people who were right!
The decoration is located along one of the pathways at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. These decorations are easy to spot due to their size, but they’re also easy to miss, because they’re on a walkway. There are plenty of walkways around Coronado Springs and I always find it relaxing to take a stroll around the resort. The resort is pretty big and spread out, so you can get a decent walk in by exploring the resort.
Coronado Springs was inspired by a blend of classic Spanish influences. One of my favorite things about this resort is the fountain in the lobby. It’s beautiful and I love taking pictures of it.
This hotel has been undergoing refurbishments for a while now. During my last stay I was able to stay in one of their refurbished rooms and it was very nice, it felt fresh and clean. In addition to the refurbishments there is a new building, the Gran Destino Tower, which is now accepting reservations for July 2019 and on. Two new restaurants are also opening soon. Three Bridges Bar & Grill will be located on an island in the lagoon and connected by…you guessed it…three bridges. The other restaurant is Toledo – Tapas, Steak, & Seafood, which will be a rooftop restaurant at the Gran Destino Tower. It looks like Toledo is expected to open on July 9, but I’m not sure about Three Bridges Bar & Grill.
Like other resorts, Coronado Springs has plenty of activities for guests. So if guests want to spend the day at the hotel, they will be able to find activities and entertainment to fill the day.
Pools
They have 4 pools, which includes the main pool that is themed after the Lost City of Cibola. The centerpiece for the main pool is an impressive 50-foot pyramid that has water streaming down the stone steps. There are also 3 leisure pools located around the property. One in the Casitas section, one in the Ranchos section, and one in the Cabanas section.
Campfire Activities
Guests can join in this fun nightly activity at Coronado Springs. It’s a fun time as guests can roast marshmallows over the campfire. Check the schedule for times and location at the resort.
Movies Under the Stars
This is a great activity to help wind down the day. Disney will play different Disney films on a big screen that is set up near the Lost City of Cibola pool. It’s a relaxing way to end the day.
Volleyball and Jogging
Coronado Springs has a volleyball court set up by the main pool. Guests with a valid Resort ID can check out volleyballs from the pool bar.
For those that love going for a run or walk, there is a 0.9-mile trail that looks around the 22-acre Lago Dorado. I’m not a runner, but I do enjoy walking around the trail, it’s very scenic.
Playground
Near the main pool there is a fun archaeologically themed playground for the kiddos. They can climb, slide, and play.
Iguana Arcade
Each Disney Resort hotel has an arcade and they are pretty well stocked with games. There are video games, air hokey tables, pinball machines, and more.
I really enjoyed my last visit to Coronado Springs, despite the construction. The decor of the resort is nice and it’s a fun resort to explore!
Thanks to everyone who played along this week and congratulations to those that knew where the decoration is located! We’ll play again next Wednesday!
