Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it was located. There were some really good guesses and some people knew exactly where to find the decoration.
The decoration is located in the exit queue of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Keep an eye out for it along the wall after you exit the ride. I love the details that Disney put into this ride from start to finish. The queue line is extremely detailed and that detailing continues with the actual ride and the exit. Plus, you get to see the Millennium Falcon up close while in the queue line.
Smugglers Run is a really fun ride that is somewhat like Star Tours, in that you have a screen in front of you that plays the scenes that you visit during the ride. The difference with this new ride is that you actually get to control the ride. Two people are the pilots, two people are the gunners, and two people are the engineers. The best spot to be is one of the pilot seats. One pilot steers left and right and one steers up and down. It’s a fun ride to experience with family and friends, especially if you have 6 people in your party, because that’s enough people to fill the seats on the ride.
If you are traveling solo, or don’t care whether you ride with your party or not, you can hop in the Single Riders line. Guests in this line will be placed in groups as they are needed to fill seats on the ride. So you will definitely get to experience the ride sooner when you choose to go in the Single Riders Line, but keep in mind that if you are traveling with other people there is no guarantee you will end up with any of them.
The story behind the ride is that you are on a mission for Ohnaka Transport Solutions, Hondo Ohnaka’s smuggling shipping operation. During the mission guests are directed by Hondo on where to fly the ship and what they are picking up. Once you return to base, you will see how well you did with your position. If you crashed a lot then you will notice a lot of lights flickering and steam sounds coming from the exit line. It’s a fun ride that is really immersive from the beginning to the end!
Thanks to everyone who played along this week and congratulations to those that knew where the decoration is located! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be up this week!
Have you had a chance to ride Smugglers Run yet?
Thanks for reading!
