Last week I posted the above picture and asked for guesses as to where it is located. There were some good guesses, but Diane and Doug were both able to pinpoint where the chandelier is located. Congratulations!
The Beach Club Resort is beautiful and that includes the lobby. The resort has as a New England theme and it’s also home to one of the most popular pools on property. The pool area is shared with the neighboring Yacht Club hotel and it’s basically a mini waterpark, complete with a lazy river and sand-bottomed section.
The lobby of the Beach Club Resort is themed with cream, mint, and rose colors. The colors give the feeling of a calming and warm environment. Guests will find plenty of places to sit in the lobby with lots of chairs and couches to choose from. One of my favorite pieces of furniture in the lobby are the porter’s chairs (the chairs with the hoods); they’re a fun and somewhat unique feature in the lobby. Another unique feature are the chandeliers like the one in the picture. The chandeliers have an antique look to them and have seahorses circled around the light fixture, which fits in with the theme of the resort.
Right off the lobby guests will find Cape May Cafe, a table service restaurant at the hotel. This is a buffet restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner. During breakfast guests get to meet some Disney friends at Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast. Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy visit tables to sign autographs and take pictures while wearing their beach outfits. Dinner serves seafood like clams, mussels, crab legs, and shrimp, but here are also things like ribs and chicken on the dinner menu. Keep in mind that there are no characters at dinner, it’s just the meal.
Thanks to everyone who played along this week! Another Where is it Wednesday picture will be soon!
Have you been to the Beach Club Resort?
Thanks for reading!
