Today’s Daily Dose of Disney takes us to the Magic Kingdom.
One of my favorite things to do is to enjoy the parks right when they open. It’s even better when there are early morning Extra Magic Hours. This particular morning I decided to record my stroll in a pretty uncrowded Magic Kingdom. When the parks have crowd levels like this in the mornings it’s so much easier to appreciate the music and sounds in each area. That’s one of the things I’m missing from the parks right now. Each area in each park has their own music/sounds that are unique to that section and you think of them automatically when you hear those sounds. Whether it’s songs playing, sounds from the attractions in the area, or sounds from happy guests on the different rides, it gives you a good feeling when you hear it.
I find it’s so much easier to appreciate these things when you take it a little slower in the morning and just wander. That’s why it’s nice if you can have at least two days planned for Magic Kingdom. One day can be a “go, go, go” day and the other day can be a little slower and relaxed. Magic Kingdom may be the smallest park, but it has the most rides and there are so many details packed into this park. So it’s worth having a slow down day to check out all the details.
The video takes you on a stroll from Magic Kingdom, through Liberty Square, and through Fantasyland.
Hope this video helped to bring a little magic to your day! Stay safe and healthy everyone!
Thanks for reading (and watching)!
Liz
Lovely, thank you!
Thanks so much for the video! I loved watching it as Magic Kingdom is my favourite park! We were going to travel to Florida in August. In spite of everything going on in the world, I think we are going to give it a while and try again in a few years! Thanks again for the awesome video!
Take care and stay safe!❤️
So happy you enjoyed it Linda! I don’t blame you for putting the trip off for a bit. It’s sad, but you have to do what feels best for you and your family. Hopefully they will find a treatment for this awful virus soon and it won’t be as scary. Stay safe and healthy! 🙂
Just had to change the date on the countdown app from under 30 to 167. I know there are more important things right now, but it is depressing to see something that we look forward to every year pushed back like this. This is the break every year that really lets us escape “life” and recharge until the next year. I really hope we can make it on our rescheduled trip. Thanks for all you do to help us all through this with even a small escape for a few minutes.
Happy to do it, Doug! It helps me too, because I get to look through all my pictures to choose one for the day. I’m sorry you had to move your vacation, it stinks that the wait is so much longer, but it will be even more of a celebration once you are there. Looking forward to us all having happy days in Disney World again! Stay safe and healthy!
I have never been there for Christmas.
The decorations are really pretty and each hotel has a tree in the lobby. Each park has their own tree too. It’s fun to look at all the decorations on the trees and see how they match to the park or hotel where they are.
And don’t forget the gingerbread carousel and houses. I love those they are amazing and smell wonderful. My favorite thing to see at christmas!
I agree, Linda! That is definitely one of the best parts about visiting Disney World during the Christmas season. That gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian is always so impressive!
